The penalty shoot out between Argentina and Germany was a real cliff hanger! And Kirsten's family were as nervous as the rest of the German
nation! We went to a local restaurant to watch it on the screens or TVs and the restaurant floor was covered with bitten off nails afterwards!!!
But at least the home team won and there was the usual street party afterwards.
Helen was quite relaxed during the penalties between Portugal and England because she already knew England would lose, even before the first
penalty was taken!! But it was good fun watching with all the other disappointed England fans!
Helen's final few days in Hamburg were taken up with family visits and preparing for her 300 mile walk along the Pennine Way in England.
