We stayed in Pokhara for just over a week. There was no space at the Palm Garden Lodge for the first 3 nights so we hunted for a different room nearby then moved to the Palm Garden. We had time to relax and go to the various restaurants. We needed to put on weight again!!

We also did some hand washing and worked on the computer to try and get our website up to date. We even got to see some live football matches. We handed in our rucksack to get it sewn because a lot of the stitching had ripped and I booked various things for my Camino trip in July.

Before we knew it, it was time to get the bus back to Kathmandu where we stayed for our last three nights in Nepal.

The only sightseeing we did was a short trip to Swayambhunath Temple which is the most important Buddhist site in Nepal and is also revered by Hindus. The complex consists of a stupa and a variety of shrines and temples. It is also known as the Monkey Temple because there are holy monkeys living in the north west parts of the temple. It is believed to date back to the 5th Century and the stupa has been renovated 15 times in its 1,500 year history, the last time in 2010.

We needed to organise ourselves for Tibet and started booking further flights and accommodation for China and Europe. We got our visas for China and got ready for our overland trip into Tibet.
