On Monday, Helen and Jess went to do the cabins and as Jess cleaned one of the shower cubicles, a bottle of shampoo that had been put on top of the shower, fell down the back of the cubicle. She tried to get it out using a broom which got broken in half! She got the shampoo eventually but the broom was beyond repair!

Kirsten and Helen went out to shore lunch with two of the guides. They were going off to play golf with the owner afterwards and were giving Jess a lift to the bus on the way. So we had to get back quickly from shore lunch. The problem was that one of the guides was quite heavy and it slowed the boat down! So there was a mad rush when we got back and we never really got chance to say goodbye to Jess.

On Tuesday, Helen continued her cobweb/hoovering action and that evening, after we´d finished we tried to play "round the clock" darts - hitting each number one after the other. It took us ages! We had problems hitting the board let alone the numbers! Somehow, Kirsten managed to hit the bullseye at the end!

On Wednesday, the weather was changeable but we decided to go out to shore lunch anyway. The waves on the lake were really rough, higher than we´d ever had before. We also had problems with the fire because the wind was in the wrong direction and we constantly had to fan it to keep it alight. We also had to guard the fish from a hungry squirrel! In fact, the squirrel was trying to nick everything - bin bag, kitchen towels, you name it!

On Thursday at shore lunch, some of the guests wanted us to take some fish back to the lodge for them. We didn´t realise that they would still be alive! Helen had problems hanging onto one in a plastic bag as it was jumping around so much that the bag was ripping. So one of the guides went around with a bucket and collected the fish. Back in the boat, one of the fish jumped out of the bucket. Kirsten didn´t really want to touch it but she still tried to pick it up. Of course, the fish didn´t want to get picked up! It was so slippery and jumping madly that when Kirsten tried to pick it up it jumped and nearly bit her nose with its sharp teeth! Kirsten shrieked! And the guests were killing themselves laughing as they watched the whole thing from their boats! Helen tried to apologise for losing one! Fortunately though, it didn´t get away and Kirsten finally managed to get it back into the bucket!

On Friday we were supposed to have a lie in as the guests left before breakfast but our body clocks still woke us up at 5-30 am! We didn´t have a break that day as there was too much to do but we welcomed back one of the guests who was returning for his third trip this season! This time he had brought his wife along as well as 3 other couples. So we had a ladies week again!

On Saturday, Kirsten served the evening meal in her posh trousers and shirt because she didn´t have any other trousers left! On Sunday, Helen noticed something lying in the gap between one of the window sill and the window in the lounge. On closer inspection it turned out to be a bat! Not easy to remove! The two of us and the owners wife discussed several ways to do it, but in the end, a glass jar to trap it and a wooden spoon to get it into the jar, won the contest!
